Basset Hound Rescue has been serving the needs of needy basset hounds in the
Houston area since 1999.
These dedicated basset lovers generously devote their time to help
find loving homes for bassets in our area.

Chance Pets is
a nonprofit animal welfare organization dedicated to providing stray and
unwanted pets a second chance through foster care and pet adoption programs.
SCP operates in the Clear
Lake area but does not have a shelter or an office location.
Animals are fostered and loved in volunteer homes until a permanent home is

The Texas Great Pyrenees

committed volunteers rescuing, fostering and placing Great Pyrenees in Texas
and can usually respond to information requests within a twenty-four hour
period.

Sheltie Sanctuary is a non-profit organization comprised of
volunteers who give of their time, their efforts, and their homes to help
place Shelties where they will be loved and well cared for.

Canines Dalmatian Rescue is a nonprofit rescue organization
dedicated to saving the lives of the many homeless Dalmatians in
Texas. Our
mission is to take dogs from shelters, as strays, or from owners that can no
longer care for them and provide them with shelter, food, water, medical
care including vaccinations, training and socialization, plus lots of TLC.
Once we deem the dog ready for a new home, we seek permanent homes for our
dogs with people that have been screened for eligibility. All dogs are
sterilized before leaving our rescue and temperament ed. |

is a non-profit animal welfare organization
founded in January 2002. FHPR's mission is to provide an avenue for
stray and unwanted pets for the (Houston) Clear Lake area to find refuge,
medical attention, and eventually adoption into new loving permanent homes. |

Animal Sanctuary, Inc. is
a non-profit organization (pending) formed in February 2000. One of
our main goals is to end the needless suffering of stray animals
(predominately cats & dogs) in our communities by getting them off the
streets, getting them healthy, and finding good homes for them. |

homes. Dogs are available for immediate adoption and foster homes are

Houston, Inc. is an all-volunteer, donation-sponsored, non-profit
organization dedicated to the overwhelming task of saving the lives of abused,
abandoned and unwanted Miniature Schnauzers, who have lost their homes, for
one reason or another. Our goal is that any Miniature Schnauzer coming
through our organization will never again have to face being on the streets,
in a shelter, or any other dangerous situation, but will live a safe, loving
and secure life in their new "forever" home. |

Pekingese Rescue exists to rescue Pekingese from Kill shelters, abuse
situation, and voluntary surrenders (on a space available basis).
Houston Pekingese Rescue places these Pekes in Foster Homes until forever
homes can be found and ensure each Pekingese is healthy, spayed, neutered, and
up-to-date on all routine vaccinations. This is a non-profit
organization and 100% of all donations go to help the rescue dogs. |
